It refreshes a person's outlook as he experiences his daily life if he can enjoy weekends, trips, and vacations. Memories are not enough from a prior life of the happy rigmarole of making arrangements in preparing for fun. More complex as an adult, time away breathes life in all of us. Participating in the planning is an act of independence and both preparing and experiencing outings create opportunities for growth and maturity even with supports needed. Because supports are needed with many people with disabilities, we hope for sibling family to bring us along providing an outlet for spirit and energy, making us closer.
Try to keep the karma of families together as we grow older into senior days, carry forgiveness to make up relations of separation and trouble, and ask which may bring results differently than expected.
