Stalking someone for fun, profit or just to know is an illegal situation in states like California. The U.S. belief in freedom and privacy does not coincide with the small world of conspiracy and theft of a person's identity builders or stealing another person's known or potential positions in society. How can checking in from afar on a past relationship with a person, a troubled family, or forgotten client be ethically and warmly done to give distant support when someone might need to hear from somebody nice without bothering their stability? Do law authorities look at if it's for themselves or if it's for the other person's need? What are other considerations in recognizing a difference between old friends and employment law?
