A custodian does not often need to speak English on the job, and it was taught to me decades ago English speaking was an illegal job requirement if not necessary for the job. College graduates can read, write, and have intellectual stamina and exploration. If a job placement likes interpersonal qualities like "bounce" and comfortable personal sales attributes, college graduates may not get a preference. Graduates are hurt if their stated idealistic or airy desired salary ranges are not negotiable by an intolerant prospective employer. The graduate has a record of supporting research growth and productive development of higher educational institutions and professors. An employer who doesn't like to hire people with a degree prevents team capability from developing and these type of employers do less a favor for our country.
