The people leading the work of the nation need to change themselves and the systems they are part of to increase standards of goodness with our economic structures while we are in recession and afterward. Professionals in mental health are regulated to not add Emotional Banking Units to anybody's client. Our general society discriminates against people in need. Financial advisers not advocating for their client's rights wreak havoc on capitalization efforts of the stalwarts of recovery who cyclically step back. Being responsible by saving some money for retirement after a span of time on disability is on the surface a good idea, but it is not a good one if welfare rules take all the saved earnings away by forcing liquidation of assets for eligibility a second time if one's mental health recovery hits a snag. Even my private appointment with Congress couldn't result in protection for role models of marginalized disabled people who worked their way to health for a relatively brief period of time in the important health care reforms passed less than a month ago.
