Family reunions can be large or small, and can be rare in your family or more of a regular thing. To be included in plans, the key is to keep in touch with siblings as you grow older.
Keep informing your original family of your whereabouts and your activities, as well as any special relative to you. Phone calls, emails, letters, and cards are connecting rods of a long distance family. An annual Christmas card with notes summarizing the year you yourself are having may keep them aware of you. Mailing cards with personalization on their birthday is a nice commemoration for anyone receiving a Birthday card.
